Aljibes Petit Verdot 2014 is an exceptional red wine made Exclusively of Petit Verdot Grape with a triple selection process. This special red wine is very fresh and pleasant, perfect for an important occasion.
Sommelier recommendation: Red meats, game and roasted cuts.
Tasting note: Intense violet-garnet, with aromas of Mediterranean forest, incense and exotic spices. Soft, balanced and long on the palate with ripened tannins. Taste varietal characteristic high concentration.
Jay S. Miller Tasting Note for 2008 (The wine Advocate, Robert Parker): "The 2008 Aljibes Petit Verdot spent 12 months in large French oak followed by 4 months in second use barriques. Exotic spices, violets, incense, espresso, and blackberry aromas inform the nose of a dense, layered, sexy, potentially complex, lengthy wine. Give it 2-3 years to become a bit more civilized and drink it from 2013 to 2023."
